Brother and Sister with Ducks

This brother and sister get along so well it's amazing. They are truely a beautiful pair. And the weather and sunlight couldn't have been better.
It was fun photography with the little ducks. They were so small in the grass and so adorable with their little chirping. As the kids were laying in the grass, the ducks would nibble on their necks, underarms and even eyes. It was actually kind of comical.

DinoQuest at Lowry Park Zoo

Last weekend we dealt with Lil' P being really sick. So we had to cancel our weekend beach plans. Let's just say, she wasn't too happy about not going to the beach. I had to convince her to go to the zoo instead, which when someone is as stubborn as her, is NOT an easy task.

As you walk into the Dino area, the roaring of the dino's are loud. P was terrified and didn't want to go in. Then as I finally convinced her to go, this "little" guy greats us...

Oh boy! I thought we were done. But after showing her the electric cords (sorry, these Dinos are not real), she wasn't as scared. Thank goodness because this place was pretty cool. 

These Dinos looked so real. And the motion and sounds was amazing.

 This evil one got me and my camera...

 They even had a little area for the kids to explore and a very large Dino slide where the kids slide down its tongue. But P wasn't tall enough for it. She was content though, dusting off Dino bones.

 She looks like she could play a role on CSI...

 I told her to smile for Justin Bieber...

 It was super hot out and Dad wanted a snowcone. Then, we wanted one. Afterwards we were trying to see who's tongue was more red.

 I was excited we finally got to see the Kangaroos. At Busch Gardens the kids have to be older than 5 to walk thru the area to see them. Here at the Zoo, P was finally able to see one up close. This little Momma had a Joey in her pouch. I wanted to see it so bad, but never did.

If you are thinking of going to visit the Dinos, I think they are here only through May. Better hurry, before they are extinct. ;)

i Heart Faces Challenge - Sun Flare

I love this week's challenge. I used to actually not like photos with sun flare. I thought it would take away from the actual image. But now, I love that look.
So for this week's challenge, I instantly thought of this photo. I had an opportunity last year to be in the middle of a Motorcross with all of the bikes racing around us. It was awesome!

Wordless Wednesday

2011 Gasparilla

Last weekend was cold, very cold. But we decided to go to the Gasparilla parade anyway. And I am glad we did. We got their early enough to find a great spot close to the fence. This was Payton's first time begging for beads. She was very shy waving to the people but when she got those beads and a felt flower, she was getting the hang of begging!
She was having so much fun that she wore herself out and fell asleep in the stroller while watching the parade. By then, we couldn't handle to cold any longer. We never did stay for the fireworks, but we were happy we got about 50 pounds of beads. Now, what does one do with all these beads???? Anybody want some?

Her First Dance Class

Payton was very excited to start her new dance class. She kept reminding me that it was NOT like gymnastics. She did that for a year and well, let's just say, she had enough of that!

We spent most of the day looking for tap shoes, ballet shoes and a new dance suit. She just couldn't wait until it was her time for class. Once there, to my surprise, she wasn't acting shy at all. She went right into her class & started doing what all the other girls were doing. She's a natural and was super cute!

After class I asked if she liked it, "Um huh I want to do it again!" I am so glad because she cost me a furtune today!!
